PERSONALITY
Rena is very petite, she is a nice and friendly girl. Always helpful. She appears to be happy and has rather strange habits. For example she likes ‘to take everything home that she thinks is cute’ ( even when it’s just odd )
Due to her cheerfulness, you would rarely think she isn’t happy. However, she is actually very sensitive beyond her act, with certain matters. Hiding her sadness and depression behind a facade.
She even changed her real name
( Reina ) to Rena. She took out the ‘i’ of her original name to remove the ‘icky’ things from her life.
The place she actually lives at is a small village in the prefecture Gifu , nearby Okinomiya - the village is called Hinamizawa.
Actually, she used to live in Hinamizawa until she turned 14 years old, then her dad and she left the village and moved to Ibaraki.
It wasn’t a great time, Rena was almost raped by her classmates and after she used a bat to beat them and smashed all the windows in her school she was put into a mental hospital.
Later on; Rena was told by Oyashiro-sama to go back to Hinamizawa. So she moved back with her father after a year. Rena and her father believed it would been a new start. And as Rena returned to the village, she thought everything would get better and in fact everything seemed perfect in the start.
She was happy. She found really great friends. And enjoyed everyday to spend with them. The bad things from her past seemed to have drifted away.
She thought she got rid of the ‘icky’ things for good when she came back to Hinamizawa but there were still bad things around her. Things Rena couldn’t change without using violence.
Rena is a Yangire but her deceiving treats come from her delusions

Blade-split axe: The axe offers a brutal playstyle, though at the expense of her ranged attacks. She becomes specialized in disabling and wide area attacks, but with much less accuracy.

Ironclad cleaver: The huge ironclad cleaver is strong. Because of the blade heaviness, she cannot cancel her attacks, moves rather slowly, dashes on the ground for a much shorter distance and drains her stamina bar quicker on aerial movements. However, her attack power is extremely powered up, while her defense power halves the damage she takes and also offers her some resilience on hit stun, much like Oyashiro Hypermode. Also, her voice changes to reflect her delusional state when wielding this blade.

RYUKISHI-SAMA REPLIED TO ME!
I wrote a letter in japanese to Ryukishi-sama, said letter told him how much higurashi changed my life to the better and healed me in ways nothing else ever did.
Basically I told him how wonderful his works are and that it is a blessing. I also mentioned in my letter the fact, that I changed my In real name to Rena in dedication for Higurashi, and also because Rena is a lot like me.
Ryukishi-sama did read my letter in 2018 and he even responded to me with a letter too.
